Inscription beneath name, dod, and age of deceased includes: A. H. Morley, Joplin Marbleworks.
Posted to Jasper Query Board: "A tombstone in Misemer cemetery in Lawrence County (death in 1877)
has the inscription "A. H. Morley, Joplin Marbleworks" below the information of the deceased. I
found a C. W. Morley in Joplin; a wagonmaker who came to Jasper County from New York in 1874,
according to the Patron List in the 1876 Illustrated Atlas of Jasper County. This man may be
related. Does anyone have any information about A. H. Morley, or the Joplin Marbleworks?"

DAVIS, A. E.
Name found Misemer cemetery on the stone for Robert Kimins, 1859-1885.
Inscription beneath poem on south side of base reads: A. E. Davis, Mt. Vernon, Mo.
Mr. Ross Cameron provided the following information on Mr. Davis:
"Albert E. Davis, proprietor of Mt. Vernon Marble Works, born Stratford, County of Perth,
Province of Ontario, Canada, 1855. Father and Mother born Bristol, England; Alfred Davis, b. 1820;
Jane C. b. 1821. A. E. Davis md. 4 Nov 1885 to Jennie Hammer. Obituary 1906 states he is
survived by eldest child, Mrs. Thresa Mayden, Billings, and her brother, Albert, Jr.
