John married Isabella Jemima SINCLAIR on the 9th  March 1899 in Shetland, Scotland.
He died on the on 19th  August 1957 in Blackness, West Lothian, Scotland, at age 85
He was buried in Leith, Scotland.

Isabella Jemima SINCLAIR was born on the 9th August 1874 in Sandness, Shetland, Scotland.
Daughter of John SINCALIR and Sarah PETERSON.
Isabella died on the 4th July 1940 in Blackness, West Lothian, Scotland.
She was buried in Leith, Scotland.

John BROWN and Isabella Jemima SINCLAIR had the following children:

John Sinclair BROWN
Born in 1900 in North Leith, Scotland
He died on the 17th May 1920 in Grangemouth, Stirling, Scotland at age 20.

STEAMER ON FIRE AT GRANGEMOUTH

Fire occurred yesterday morning on board the steamer Meggie, of London, at present undergoing repairs in the Carron Dry Dock, Grangemouth, and resulted in the death of John Brown, about 18 years of age, employed as third engineer on board the steamer. The outbreak occurred in the engine room, and rapidly spread, and an oil storeroom was also involved. Brown's body was found on the engine room floor, partially dressed, and scorched by the flames. He belonged to Leith

Isabella Jane BROWN
Born on the 27th January 1906 in Leith, Scotland.
She married Charles CHASSAR on the 28th December 1934 at 7 Thornville Terrace, Leith, Scotland.
Isabella died on the 3rd June 1984 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
She was cremated on the 6th June 1984 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Charles CHASSAR was born on the 8th March 1909 at Sandyhall, Errol, Perth, Scotland.
Son of John Anderson CHASSAR and Helen Mina NICOLL.
Charles was lost at sea on the 24th November 1942, at 33 years of age.
His name is on the Tower Hill Memorial, London, England, which commemorates those sailors of the Merchant Navy lost in the two World Wars.

Sarah BROWN
Born in 1910 in Leith, Scotland.
She married George Burden BAILLIE in 1943 in Scotland.
Sarah died on the 2nd January 1992 in Larbert, Stirling, Scotland, aged 82 years.

George BAILLIE was born in 1911 in Boness, West Lothian, Scotland.
George died on the 21st September 1999 in Boness and Carriden, West Lothian, Scotland.

Margaret Blanch BROWN
Born in 1913 in Leith, Scotland.
She died on the 19th August 1915 in Leith, Scotland.

Andrew BROWN
Born on the 11th July 1915  in Leith, Scotland.
Andrew married Helen SIMPSON on the 28th December 1940 in Scotland.
He died on the 26th March 1981, at age 65.

Helen SIMPSON was born on the 31st July 1917 in Leith, Scotland.
She died on the 17th November 2006 in Antrim, Ireland.

Andrew BROWN and Helen SIMPSON had two children:
