            Ida Bierbaum

                BRIGHTON - Ida E. Bierbaum, 91, died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 1994, 
            at Blu-Fountain Manor Nursing Home in Godfrey.
                The daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Strohbeck) Scheurer was born on 
            Feb. 20, 1903, at Brighton.
                A homemaker, she married Lester E. Bierbaum on April 25, 1923.  He died 
            on Dec. 19, 1987.
                Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Vera Bierbaum of rural Alton; a grandson 
            and his wife, Stephen and Jean Bierbaum of rural Alton; a granddaughter, 
            Carol Bierbaum of Gillette, Wyo.; a great-grandson and his wife, Brett and 
            Barbara Bierbaum of rural Alton; two great-granddaughters, Sarah and Greta 
            Bierbaum of rural Alton; a great-great-granddaughter, Lauren Bierbaum of 
            rural Alton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
                She was preceded in death by a son, Dudley; and a brother Paul Scheurer.
                Visitation will be from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. today and continue from 9 a.m. 
            until time of services at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of 
            Fosterburg, where she was a member.  The Rev. Rodney Annis will officiate.
                Burial will be in Fosterburg Cemetery.
                Memorials may be made to Andrew Martin Memorial Scholarship Fund in care 
            of the church.
                Jacoby-Wise Funeral Home in Bunker hill is in charge of arrangements.
