            F.P. Scheurer

                BRIGHTON - Frank P. Scheurer, 85, a retired farmer, died at 3:10 p.m. 
            today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lester Bierbaum, Rt. 1, Alton, 
            where he had made his home for the past four years.
                A life-long resident of Brighton Township, he was born March 30, 1871, 
            a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Scheurer.
                Surviving in addition to his daughter, are a son, Paul, Rt. 1, Alton; 
            three sisters, Mrs. Anna Bettendorff, Bunker Hill, Mrs. Mary Johnson, 
            Alton, and Mrs. Louisa Rice, Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Phillip of Olustee, 
            Okle; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded 
            in death by his wife in December of 1941, and by a sister and a brother.
                The body is at Jacoby-Wise Funeral home where friends may call after 
            3 p.m. Friday and until 1 p.m. Saturday, when it will be taken to 
            Fosterburg Baptist Church for rites at 2 p.m. to be conducted by the 
            Rev. Marvyn Schultz.  Burial will be in Fosterburg Cemetery.
