                Walter Henry Strohbeck, 75, 636 Edlawn, Wood River, died at 3:10 p.m. 
            Sunday at Wood River Township Hospital.  He was the owner of Walter 
            Strohbeck Road Oil Co.
                Survivors include his wife, Laura, whom he married in 1929, a daughter 
            Melba Brown of Brown County, Ill., two sisters, Edna Graul and Esther Boker 
            both of Alton, two brothers, Victor of Bunker Hill and Ralph of Fosterburg, 
            and two grandchildren.
                Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today at Marks Mortuary in Wood 
            River.  The body will be moved at 9 a.m. Wednesday to the First Baptist 
            Church in Wood River for funeral services at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. Jeffy 
            Belden officiating.
                Burial will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens.  The First Baptist Church 
            of Wood River has been named as a memorial.
