                Edna Lucille Graul, 85, of Alton, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday at 
            Barnes Hospital in St. Louis following an extended illness.
                She was born in Fosterburg, daughter of the late George A. and 
            Amy L. (Deck) Strohbeck.  She married William H. Graul on 
            Sept. 19, 1924.  He died Dec. 21, 1981.
                Surviving are a son, Donald of San Mateo, Calif.; three 
            grandchildren; one brother, Ralph Strohbeck of Fosterburg; and one 
            sister, Esther Boker of Alton.
                Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Main Street 
            United Methodist Church with the Reb. William D. Fester officiation.
                Burial will be in Fosterburg Cemetery.
                Memorials are to the church trust fund, where she was a 50 year 
            member.
