            Strohbeck

                Mrs. Amy Lucinda Strohbeck, 90, a resident nearly all her life in 
            the Fosterburg area, died Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the home of a son, 
            Victor, in Bethalto.  She had been in ill health since June of 1965.
                A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles D. Deck, she was born 
            Feb. 13, 1875, in Greene County.
                She was married Feb. 16, 1898, at Fosterburg, to George A. 
            Strohbeck.  Her husband preceded her in death in 1938.
                Mrs. Strohbeck affiliated with First Methodist Church in 
            Fosterburg early in life and when that church was disbanded she became 
            a member of Bethalto Methodist church.
                She also was a member of Bethalto Chapter 847, Order of Eastern 
            Star.
                Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William Graul, and Mrs. George 
            Boker, Alton; three sons, Ralph, Fosterburg; Walter, Wood River, and 
            Victor, Bethalto; a brother, Russell Deck, Roodhouse, two sisters, 
            Mrs. Rita Crawford, East Alton, and Mrs. Edith French, Joliet.  There 
            are 10 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
                The Rev. Ernest O'Neil, pastor of Bethalto Methodist Church, will 
            officiate at services Friday at 2 p.m. in Smith Funeral Home, Alton.  
            Burial will be in Fosterburg Cemetery.
                Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home.
                Services will be conducted Thursday at 7:30 p.m. by members of 
            Order of Eastern Star.
