Ashman family in England James Scott George Palmer Family of David Warren

The connecting link of the Coat of Arms for Ashman in England during the Visitation of Wiltshire in 1565 and the looking-glass with the Ashman Arms coming to Maryland is strong evidence that there is a heredity link for the Ashman family.

Obviously there are other families that will contribute to the Ashman story, most obvious is the family who's arms appear joined with the Ashman arms on the looking-glass.

The timeline from the Visitation of Wiltshire in 1565 to the birth of George Ashman in England would appear to be not more the seventy-five to eighty-five years. I would really like to be able to find the Ashman family information for this period.

James Scott is listed as the father of Jane Scott. In History of CLINTON COUNTY, INDIANA, Inter-State Publishing Co. 1886 the following information is recorded: Miss Jane Scott, daughter of James Scott, also a native of Pennsylvania. I would very much like to have any additional information of the parents and siblings of Jane Scott

George Palmer, son of Elizabeth Ashman and John Palmer. George Palmer is listed in the Last Will and Testament of his grandfather George Ashman in 1811. After the death of his father his mother Elizabeth married William Harvey. In History of HUNTING AND BLAIR COUNTIES, PENNSYLVANIA, by J. Simpson Africa, published in 1883 it is recorded that George A. Palmer was a constable for Shirley Township in 1823. There has been much speculation as to what happened to George Palmer after this date. Any additional information would help solve this mystery would be appreciated.
