Dallas Man Is Found Dead Friday

A white male, age 33, was found dead on a county road between Talpa and Valera Friday, September 7, at approximately 7:30 a.m. by a Panther Creek bus driver, who went to the nearest home and called the Sheriff's Dept.

According to information on the driver's license, the victim was William Evans Snyder and resided in Dallas.  IT was determined that he had been shot once inthe chest with what appeared to be a .22 calibre weapon.  It is unknown whether or not the wound was the cause of death.

Judge Emory Rider ordered an autopsy performed to determine an official ruling of either suicide or homocide.  The body was transported to the Institute of Forensic Science at Dallas.
