 & friends, settled Orange co,IN & established a Quaker settlement in the
 wilderness.  In 1813 Lick Creek MM was set off as the second oldest MM in
 Indiana.  Jonathan Lindley was the Founder of Paoli, the county seat of
 Orange co,IN.  From that center the Quaker movement spread civilization
 throughout Southwestern Indiana.
