Vitals from cemetery visit, July 2006. Jane is buried in Lot 37 and has an old stone that reads, "Jane BUNTING, wife of John C. BUNTING, 18 Jan 1802-18 Jun 1876." (John purchased Lot 37 of Part 1 in the cemetery.)

A John COOLEY bought the first piece of land in IL in1842. He is listed on the 1850 CENSUS, Sangamon Co, page 177, #281. Is he any connection to Jane?

    American Civil War Soldiers, Union Army: Ancil BUNTING, of Secor, Woodford, IL, enlisted as a private 14 Aug 1862. He was assigned to Company E, 108th IL Infantry Regiment on 28 Aug 1862. Ancil died in the same company on 13 Jan 1863, at Arkansas Post, AR. He was cited for Distinguised Service.
