Lucinda was a minor at the time of her father's death in 1854; Eli ASHER was named her guardian. She received the final settlement from the estate on 10 May 1859. It was signed for by Lucinda and her spouse, Jasper CORN. (She received $139.18 plus remaining $10.15 from her sister, Elizabeth's settlement.)

Phone conversation with Joann Corn AUXIER, Sep 2002: She stated that she was related to William CORN, who was Jasper's brother. Jasper went from Holt Co, MO, to Richardson Co, NE. He was originally from Mercer Co, KY and may have returned there.

    Death from C. KENT's cemetery records; visited grave, Sep 2002; took photos. The cemetery is located in Indian Cave State Park, Richardson Co, NE. Stone had been broken in middle, but propped back up and still readable: "CORN, John R., son of Jaspar and Lucinda CORN, died 2 Feb 1883, 13 years, 10 months, and 10 days."
