Obituary: The Craig Tribune, 13 Feb 1941, page 1: "Mrs. SARAH ILSLEY, Sarah Elizabeth ODELL, daughter of of Marion and Lydia ODELL, was born near Craig, MO, 3 Nov 1858 and passed away at her home in Craig, 3 Feb 1941, at the advanced age of 82 years and 3 months. On 25 Jan 1874 she was united in marriage with Richard RANDALL. To this union was born 2 sons: Frank of Shubert, NE, and Squire of Monterey, CA. This family circle was broken 24 Jul 1904 when the grim angel called the husband and father from their midst. On 7 Jun 1908, the deceased was married to John ILSLEY and spent the remainder of life at the home they established in the Northern limits of Craig. From girlhood she has been affiliated with the Christian Church. Aunt Sarah was seldom seen in public. She asked nothing better than the quiet confines of her home. She always liked to have company and the best she had was not too good for anyone who shared the hospitality of her home. Her later years were spent in poor health and as is the case of so many of our aged people the call to the greater and richer life comes as an instance of mercy. Besides the aged husband of the home she is survived by the 2 sons, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also 2 sisters, Mrs. Dallas MOORE and Mrs. Charles YANDELL, both of Craig. A host of friends and neighbors are left to mourn the passing of one who has been among them so many years. Funeral services were held last Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Christian Church, conducted by Reverend O. W. Adams. Burial was in the New Liberty Cemetery."
