Gone Home II, page 180: "Sarah Margaret Asher O'DELL, 72 years 4 months 26 days, born 26 Jul 1863 near Craig, MO died 22 Dec 1925 at her home in Rulo, NE. She was the daughter of Eli and Sarah ASHER; married Enoch Francis O'DELL on 16 mar 1871. To this union 6 children were born; Mrs. Harve Odell BURGE, who preceded the mother in death; Mrs. Will Odell ZIMMERMAN, Rulo; Mrs. James Odell ZIMMERMAN, Burkburnett, TX; James Huston ODELL, Yakima, WA; Mrs. Olin Odell WICKISER, Corning; John Francis ODELL, St. Joseph, MO; she also leaves 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and her husband, George SWEETWOOD, by second marriage 11 Jul 1901. Sarah joined the Christian Church and was baptized 4 Feb 1875. Funeral at Holiness Church, Rulo, NE." (The Craig Leader, 7 Jan 1926, Buried Rulo Cemetery).

From Gwyn Barker: Francis went to Richardson Co, NE in 1884. Gwyn has copy of deed, dated 3 Aug 1892, Richardson Co, NE, conveying to Solomon ODELL Lots 22, 23, 24 in Block 224, Falls City, NE. Grantors were Sarah M. ODELL and husband, E. F. ODELL. Shown in Holt Co. Deed Book 43, page 121, land purchase from Fred Bunganstock; on page 122, is purchase from Henry Turnay. Gwyn has hand written copy of obituary from Mound City News, page 8, Friday, 27 Jan 1899; and hand written copy of obituary from Rulo newspaper, 2 Feb 1899. Francis died at home, 3 miles North of Rulo of Grippe, and congestive chill.

Gone Home: Francis ODELL died near Rulo, NE, 24 Jan 1899, aged 48 years.
