1870 CENSUS, Ward 3, DeSoto Parish, LA, page 23: "Edith SIMON", 50 years, born NC, black, farm laborer. Living with her is son, William. Son, Ben and his family are next door and son, George is nearby with his wife.
1880 CENSUS, 3rd Ward, DeSoto Parish, LA, ED 25: "Eadie SIMONS", mother, 61 years, born VA, parents born VA, laborer. Eadie is living with son, Willie and his family.
