He married ANN WILCOX 1762 in Virginia. She was born 1744 in Frederick Co., Virginia, and died October 26, 1807 in Stanford, Augusta Co., Virginia.

Notes for WILLIAM WARREN:

William Warren came to Lincoln Co., Kentucky about 1780. He founded Warren's Fort in the northern part of the county on Hanging Fork Creek. The area is now in Boyle County. He owned 1,000 acres on Knob Lick, a branch of Dix River.

6. MARTIN W.6 WARREN (JAMES5, WILLIAM4, SAMUEL3, WILLIAM2, JOHN R.1) was born August 1763 in Augusta Co., Virginia, and died November 18, 1852 in Johnson Co., Missouri. He married (1) SALLY DUNBAR Bet. 1775 - 1780 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky. She was born 1765 in Amhurst Co., Virginia, and died 1833 in Lafayette Co., Missouri. He married (2) RUTH COLE Abt. 1835. She died May 06, 1845 in Dover, Missouri.

Notes for MARTIN W. WARREN:

Martin came to Missouri in 1819, first to Howard Co., then LafayetteCo., then to Johnson in 1832.

The town of Warrensburg, Missouri in Johnson County is named for him. He was a veteran of the Revolutionary War.

 Martin joined the Revolutionary War under the leadership of Captain John Daugherty and General George Rogers Clark at 18 years of age. Martin honored our nation proudly as he fought with George Washington in the legendary battle of Valley Forge. From 1781 to the end of the war in 1783, Martin served either in the militia or the regulars in the "Illinois Department" which mainly fought on the western frontier.

7. MARY MARGARET (POLLY)7 WARREN (MARTIN W.6, JAMES5, WILLIAM4, SAMUEL3, WILLIAM2, JOHN R.1) was born Bet. 1770 - 1780 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky, and died November 23, 1838 in Lafayette Co., Missouri. She married WILLIAM B. CARPENTER June 10, 1810 in Adair Co., Kentucky, son of ADAM CARPENTER and CATHERINE SPEARS. He was born December 19, 1785 in Virginia, and died 1838.

Notes for WILLIAM B. CARPENTER:

After Polly's death, Beaufort, Zerelda and Polly D. went to live with Anderson Warren. Amanda went to live with James and Cynthia Warren. In 1841, Zerelda went to live with Beaufort and Emily Carpenter in Johnson County. From the age of three, Mary Delia (Polly) Carpenter was raised by Anderson and Eveline (Fisher) Warren. Polly D. later went to live with John and Zerelda Bone (Boen, Bohn) in Cass County. She probably met Martin Foster when he sold land to Zerelda in 1848, and later married him.

i. JAMES L.8 CARPENTER, b. 1816; d. 1865, Lafayette County, Missouri; m. CYNTHIA JOHNSON, February 14, 1833, Lafayette Co., Missouri; b. 1818.

ii. SARAH (SALLY) CARPENTER, b. Bet. 1810 - 1815; d. 1856; m. THOMAS MULKEY, April 15, 1829, Lafayette Co., Missouri.

iii. BEAUFORT CARPENTER, b. 1815; m. (1) EMILY DILLINGHAM; b. Abt. 1825, Kentucky; m. (2) CYNTHIA Q. NICHOLS, September 04, 1866.

Beaufort and Cynthia went to Pueblo, Colorado in 1870.

Mo (recorded in Cass Co., Missouri).; b. November 03, 1822, Glasgow (Howard Co. ) Missouri; d. February 17, 1897, Alliance (Box Butte Co.) Nebraska.

 

8. MARTIN (JR.)7 WARREN (MARTIN W.6, JAMES5, WILLIAM4, SAMUEL3, WILLIAM2, JOHN R.1) was born in Kentucky, and died Abt. 1840. He married NANCY HUBBARD Unknown in Unknown. She was born in Virginia, and died 1833 in Lafayette County, Missouri.
