Thomas seems to have been
unmarried and lived most of his life with his brother David. He may have been
disabled in the War of 1812.

Will of Thomas
Baker
Thomas Baker of the
county of Campbell and Commonwealth of Kentucky being in a low state of health
but of sound and perfect mind and memory do make the following my last Will and
Testament in the words and figures as follows, that is: first my Will is that
Charlotte Baker widow of James Baker deceased be exonerated from all the
accounts charged against her of her husband in his lifetime. Second I give to
Polly Baker one cow and calf that is now here and this is in consideration for
her kindness to me during my sickness. Thirdly and lastly I give to my two
brothers David and Samuel Baker all my estate after paying my just debts and
funeral expenses and I wish my black mare to be sold and the proceeds of the
sale applied in that way and I do hereby nominate the aforesaid David Baker and
Samuel Baker my Executors of this my last Will and Testament thereby Revoking
all former Wills and Testaments made by me in any wise. In testimony whereof I
have hereunto set my hand and seal this 25th day of April
1842.

A writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Thomas Baker dec'd was
presented to Court and fully proven by the oaths of Henry Spilman and John Baker
subscribing witnesses thereto whereon after the same was established and ordered
to be recorded which is being recorded in Will Book C page
58.
