MIAMI CO., INDIANA 1865
William Baker’s Last Will, Miami County, Indiana March 29
1865
I William Baker being of sound mind do in this my last will and
testament, will and bequeath to Mary Baker widow of Nathaniel Baker deceased for
and in consideration of her sisterly kindness to me in this my last illness and
also for her kind attention to my three brothers now deceased, all of my
property of which I may be possessed (after --------- expenses are paid)
consisting of what money I may have on hand with promissory notes against
individuals and County Bounty due me as a Veteran Volunteer in the
14th Indiana Battery to be collected by my exectutor and paid over to
her. All said property to be the individual property of said Mary J. Baker to
have and to hold the same against all heirs whatever and I hereby appoint Jesse
Lee my exectutor to carry out this my last will and testament according to the
------ thereof as above expressed. Done this 29th day of March 1865,
at the County of Miami in the state of Indiana,of which the parties to this
instrument are both now resident.
