Generation No. 1

1.  JOSHUA¹ BAKER was born June 01, 1761 in Baltimore Co., Maryland, and died Aft. 1829.  He married SARAH 1789 in Washington Co., PA. 

Notes for JOSHUA BAKER:

The 1790 Federal Census of Fallowfield Twp., Washington Co., PA shows Joshua with his wife and 1 male child under the age of 16.  He is with his family in Campbell Co., KY in the 1810 Federal Census and is listed in the age group of 45 and up. He was the bondsman for the marriage bond of Nicholas Baker and Susannah Carroll in 1810. In 1813 he was the bondsman for Elizabeth Baker and Augustus Dowden. The 1810 Federal Census indicates that there were 5 male children and 5 female children in his household. The Butler Co., OH Federal Census of 1820 shows Joshua with 2 males 10 - 16 yrs. old and 1 female 16 - 26 yrs. old.

Joshua was born in the part of Baltimore Co. that became Harford Co. in 1774.

3.  NICHOLAS² BAKER (JOSHUA¹) was born July 10, 1790 in Fallowfied Twp., Washington Co., Pennsylvania, and died April 25, 1875 in Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois.  He married SUSANNAH CARLL.  She was born June 30, 1793 in Kentucky, and died January 23, 1877 in Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois.
