184. Raymond Wilbur⁵ PARFITT (George⁴, Silas³, Silas², Silas¹) was born in Elizabeth, Union County, New Jersey April 23, 1908. Raymond died July 15, 2000 in Linden, Union County, New Jersey at 92 years of age.⁽²⁷⁹⁾ He was interred July 19, 2000 at Rosedale Memorial Park, in Linden, Union County, New Jersey.

The following obituary appeared in the July 18, 2000 edition of the Newark Star Ledger newspaper:

PARFITT - Raymond W. Sr., of Linden, N.J., on Saturday, July 15, 2000, beloved husband of Marie M. (Kreig) Parfitt, loving father of Sgt. Edward G. Parfitt Sr. (Linden Police Department, retired), Raymond W. Parfitt Jr. and Gary T. Parfitt Sr., also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service to be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in the Reformed Church of Linden, 600 N. Wood Ave., Linden, N.J., at 10 a.m. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park, Linden. Visiting hours in The WERSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 N. Wood Ave., Linden, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Reformed Church of Linden, 600 N. Wood Ave., Linden, N.J. 07036, in his memory would be appreciated.
