The above photograph likely was taken in Collingsworth County, Texas. Interestingly, while John Thomas Childress resided in the panhandle area of Texas, two of his brothers, Obediah and Ezekiel, lived about 350 miles southeast, in the small village of Blackfoot, Anderson County, Texas.
