The JACKSONs and ARMSTRONG ancestry are a missing pieces of the puzzle at this time. Family lore says Charles was either born on the ship bringing the family from Wales or in New York. The family was said to be fishermen off Long Island, New York. Charles served with the 9th New York Regiment in the Spanish American War, and he settled in Onadaga County, New York after that. He married Anna ARMSTRONG. Anna's father was said to have owned a sausage business.
