2007-02-01 - Sonia Salwasser have been trying to find out info for my father-in-law, and find myself falling more into what more I can find. If anyone has anything on David Reichert and his wife Elisabeth (Haupt) Reichert (children were Maria Margretha, Adam, Edward, Leona) only Maria Margretha was born in Russia in Stahl am Tarlyk (1899). All other children were born in CA.

Hallo. My Name is Heinrich Meisner. My father, Heinrich Meisner was born 1940 in Jost. My Grandfather Gottlieb Meisner was born 1915 in Jost. My Great-Grandfather Gottlieb Meisner was born ? in Jost. Most descendants of the village Jost now live in Germany. Many family names (Axt,.Fuchs, Haupt, Lampel, Meisner, Schledowitz, Egof and many others) on this site are well-known me, and most live in Germany near Hamburg.
Give my regards to descendants of the people of Jost.

My great grandfather Johann Gottlieb Dermer was born in Jost in 1864. His first wife was Elizabeth Geisner and his second wife was Maria Margaretha Axt Axten. His son Emanuel Dermer was married to Marie "Mary" Axt whose parents Carl Axt and Marie Meisner were both born in 1876 in Jost.
2007-12-06 - Linda G Hutson I'm looking for my ancestors. Believe it or not, the man in the picture on this web page (far left) looks a lot like my grandfather Adolph Just who was the first one in his family born in America in 1900 in Williamson Co, Texas. His father and grandfather were both named Karl Just. Your web site is wonderful...I'm glad you shared it with the web. My best to you all.
2007-12-03 - Eduard Egov My grandfather Daniel Ehof was born in Jost. I have information about my ancestors from my grandfather's sister who lives in Germany. There are some other Jost ancestral names in my family tree - Axt, Breze, Haupt, Schledevitz, Wenig. You are doing a great job. Thank you.

Just looking at your site. Great job.
2007-05-22 - Randy Mueller Nice website.
2007-05-21 - Donald Halm Gottlieb Stier, was my maternal Grandfather.
2007-05-21 - Shirley Badger Peter Meisner, my husband's birth-father, was born in Yost. He is the son of Adam and Mary Meisner, who came to the USA in 1913, and ended up in Colorado. Mary Elizabeth Reinhardt Meisner brings us to a dead end, not knowing who her parents are; her father might be Rudolph Reinhardt and mother's last name might be Carringer or more apt to be Gerringer. We have Adam's parents on the Meisner side as Adam Meisner (abt 1835) and Margret Summers (abt 1836).
We are interested in finding more information about the Yost area and those who resided there.
2007-05-19 - Dennis Zitterkopf well done! Good collection of data and information (this gives me some ideas for my own site!) thanks for the tour
