Reuben T. Richardson was very active in the G.A.R. in West Virginia. For this reason I believe he was probably in the war, his appointed time came to an end, and he re-enlisted in the W.V. 17th, but the war ended soonafter.
I am working on Reuben's biography, have extensive information on his marriage, family and occupation. Most of his life was lived out as a successful business man in New Martinsville, West Virginia and his 3 sons all went to professional schools.
