Glasgow Ohio Company Purchases
George wrote several letters from Ohio back to the Scottish managers, and fortunately for his descendants were included in a tract published in Glasgow, Scotland in 1824.
The tract was entitled
Excerpts from the
"Descriptive Sketch of the State of Ohio
with the contract of
Co-Partnery of The Glasgow Ohio Company,
and Letters of Correspondence between the Company and Their Managers
now in Ohio.
A copy of the full tract, 19 pages long, can be found in the Ohio Historical Society Archives.
