Ralph Beach, 84, of Covington, died Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of Independence Church.

Survivors include sons, Henry Beach, of Tennessee, Marshall Beach of Piner, Roy Beach of East Hampton Conn., and Clifford Beach of Highland Heights; daughters, Allena Garlinger of Peach Grove, Ruby Vickers of Covington, Linda Hartman of Highland Heights, Cheryl Brown of Demossville and Jenny Hartman of Independence, 26 grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Visitation will begin there at 10 A.M. Wednesday. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Verona.

Spillman Rites Set for Sunday

Services for Arch T. Spillman: retired Boone County farmer, will be held Sunday at 2 P.M. in Hamilton funeral home, Verona. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery, Gallatin County.

Mr. Spillman, who lived at 14 East Fourth St., Covington, for the past four years, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He leaves a son, James, Covington; a brother, Charles E. Spillman, Cincinnati, and a sister, Mrs. Sallie B. Whitson, Verona.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 P.M. Saturday

According to her Daughter Callie, Clyde was married first to Louis Jameson, which ended in divorce. They had a daughter, Leuvica B. (probably Luvisa after Clyde's grandmother Blackburn) who died at the age of 10. They lived in St. Louis during their marriage. Returning to Grant County, Kentucky after her divorce, Clyde worked as a housekeeper and nurse for Charles and Sara Beach, who had TB. After Sara's death, Charles married Clyde . They had ten children.

Clyde was a very hardworking woman all her life. She worked in the tobacco fields and in other people's homes, wherever she could earn a living wherever she was needed. When she was in her mid-70s she was doing house work and ironing for a neighbor who was crippled by arthritis. Also, when she was in her 70s she made her granddaughter Sue McClure's wedding dress.
