William A. Day, 82, native of Milltown, and a retired employee of the Louisville Cement Company, passed away Monday morning at his home. Mr. Day was a member of the Presbyterian Church and IOOF Lodge. The deceased was a son of John and Nan Day. His wife, Mrs. Julia Davidson Day, died April 17. Mr. Day retired about 10 years ago. Surviving are two sons and seven daughters, Elmer Day, Mrs. Dorothy Deutsch and Mrs. Wanda Snider of Milltown, Guy Day, Mrs. Stella Root and Mrs. Ruth Lindall of New Albany, Mrs. Sylvia Seacat of Morengo, Mrs. Olive Williams of Indianapolis and Mrs. Fern Goss of Huntington. He also leaves 28 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Day of Hamon, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Rothrock of Sunny Side, Washington. Funeral services are being held this Wednesday at 2 o'clock at the Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey, conducted by Rev. Robert Latham, pastor of the Milltown Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in the cemetery at Milltown.
