Nannie Mae Miller , 77, of Dry Ridge, died Friday at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Dry Ridge, and Dry Ridge Baptist Church. Her husband, Melvon D. Miller, died in 1995.

Survivors include her son, Larry H. Miller of Crittenden, and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 P.M. Sunday at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home, Dry Ridge. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 P.M. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge. Memorials are suggested to Dry Ridge Baptist Church, 19 Broadway Ave., Dry Ridge, Ky. 41035; or Mount Zion Baptist Church, 5320 Sherman-Mount Zion Road, Dry Ridge, Ky. 41035.

Coleman Beach was born about 1805 in Virginia and he moved with his parents to Grant County, Kentucky. He married first, Elizabeth McCulloch. He moved to the White River Area of Indiana, and he and Elizabeth separated at this time. Their divorce became final March 10, 1843 by order of the Kentucky Legislature. Coleman married second, Abigail Price. Some of his children by this marriage were apparently born before his divorce was final.

His first name Daniel comes from the death certificate of his son Moses Beach. In all other records he is Coleman Beach.

Jay never married. He lived his life with his parents in their house at the top of the hill. My mother (Clara May Cook) said something horrible happened to Jay when he was in the war and he was never quite right again.

Edward J. McClure, 73, of Arnolds Creek Road, Dry Ridge, died August 2, 1985 at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. He was a retired farmer, a WW II Army Veteran and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include sisters, Opal Smallwood of Crittenden, Claretta Bailey of Florence, Elsie Hazel McClure and Zelma Jones, both of Mt. Zion, Naomi Flynn of Dry Ridge, Lora Jean Israel of Taylor Mill, and Martha Brickler of Latonia. Burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Zion, and son, Jerry of Florence; three grandchildren; seven sisters, Mrs. Claretta Bailey, Erlanger, Mrs. Martha Brickler, Latonia, Mrs. Laura Jean Israel, Taylor Mill, Mrs. Naomi Flynn, Dry Ridge, Mrs. Opal Smallwood, Crittenden, Mrs. Zelma Jones and Miss Hazel McClure, of Mt. Zion ; two brothers, Sam and Edward, Mt. Zion. Burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
