Know all men by these presents that I Archibald Grayham of the County of Augusta in the Colony of Virginia have for & in consideration of fourty pounds sold a negro boy Eleven years of age Cald. Hamton to Robert Bratton which negro boy I warrant & Defend to said Bratton from any person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto sch [sic] my hand and seall the 28th August 1752. Before signing I warrant the above mentioned negro Boy to be sound & Clear of all Distempers whatsoever.
