Introduction:
Sandra's Family are all at present in the USA. The names we are starting with are "Jones" & "Johnson", Sandra's parents of course. We have
obtained some information from her Grandmothers bible so are able to make a start at least. There are connections with unsavoury characters from America's past and Lord only knows what else.
Sandra is sure that her family connections will lead us back to "Scotland", "Ireland", "Wales", and "England",
well with a name like "Jones", what does she expect.
My own family names of "Jones", and my mother "Kemmerling", will lead us on a journey
across Europe and maybe even the USA, At his time our family is spread all over. My Dad is Welsh and my mother German, and if that is not enough, how about emigration to the USA in the mid 1800s (that we know of). We are as children living in the UK,
Finland, Germany and Italy. Through earlier marriage there is connection to India & Burma, Australia and parts of Africa.
All in all, this is going to be a journey of a lifetime, we are looking forward to it and are going to enjoy every minute, we hope you do too.
To begin our journey, I think it best we write a little of our family as it is today. Sandra & I were married in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales, UK. On the 13th of November 1998. We met on the "internet", which today is not as unusual as one would perhaps think. I have children from former marriages and Sandra has two wonderful girls from a previous marriage. Sandra grew up in Southern California, and although she eventually moved to Indiana she spent most of her life on the west coast. I was born in Swansea, My Father is "Jones" and my mother"Kemmerling"give us connection to "Jenkins" and"Dueckers"or"Duckers"(with an umlaut) I spent my first 4 years in Germany and the next 10 in Swansea again, at the age of 14 my parents dragged me off to Germany again. I married at age 22, my partner Diana Cecilia Penn was an "Anglo-Indian" girl, as was my second wife, the children these partnerships produced give us the connection with "India" & "Burma" through the name "Penn", "D'Rozario", "Robbins", "Pinto"and"Markham", though "Markham may also be traced from England
