"Mrs. Lillian Purdy, died Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William E. Davis, of this village. Mrs. Purdy, who was 61 years of age, underwent an operation on December 30, from which she never fully recovered.
She is survived by two brothers, William E. Johnson of Smithville Flats and A.R. Johnson of Cortland; two sisters, Mrs. F. M. Skillman of Broken Bow, Nebraska, and Mrs. Walter J. Booth of Roxbury, Conn.; one son, O. J. Purdy of Bishop, Cal., and two daughters Mrs. William E. Davis of Greene and Mrs. W. T. Grms [sic] of Ludlowville.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 2:30 o'clock from the home of Mrs. Davis at Greene and the burial was at Smithville."
