Dawson Johnson in a note appended to a letter (her mother-in-law's last letter to her) said she died "Wednesday night" August 18, 1909.3 Place of birth is recorded by Hazel Dickson Tamberella as Ireland4 Death Certificate of Samuel Robbins Dickson.5 Although we have seen no confirmation that John Dickson's middle name is Ashton, the back page of the Family Bible of John & Hannah (Robbins) Dickson contains the following notations:John Dickson Sen

Given the references to John Dickson as "Sen" (Senior) and the fact that his son was named John Ashton Dickson, it seems possible that John Dickson's middle name is Ashton and this is also stated by other researchers.
