USS MENHADEN (SS-377)

Menhaden was recommissioned on August 7th, 1951, under the command of Lieutenant
Commander R. G. Johns. She was assigned to Submarine Squadron 5 in San Diego, and
participated in local operations until August 13th, 1952, when she was again placed out of
commission at Mare Island.
