Duncan
He later worked as a miner on the West Coast, SI, NZ and retired to Jackson's Bay. When he was ill in the 1950s, my Father brought him back to Methven, NZ.

Thomas
Duncan was born while the family was at the Aldershot army camp in England in 1873. He trained as a Butcher and eventually followed his brother, Norman, out to NZ. His trade stood him in good stead in NZ where butchers were in demand. When Norman married in 1912, Duncan was best man.

Thomas enlisted in the 93rd Regiment and was stationed at Stirling Castle, as his father had been before him. The Regiment travelled to Malta and South Africa. On the outbreak of WWI, Thomas was sent into action and at some stage was captured and endured the rest of the War as a prisoner.
After the War he worked in Glasgow engaged in shipbuilding.

Mary suffered an accident to her back as a child and was always frail. She did not survive childhood.
