Robert R. Hamilton

ITASCA - Robert Raymond Hamilton of Itasca died Wednesday at a Hillsboro nursing home. He was 78.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Central Baptist Church in Itasca, where he was a member. Burial will be in Itasca Cemetery.

Mr. Hamilton was born in Itasca and grew up on a farm near the town. He was a farmer most of his life. He also was an aircraft machinist and retired from Bell Helicopter in 1977. He was a member of the R. E. Lee Masonic Lodge.

Survivors: Wife, Vernette Hamilton of Itasca; two sons, Charles Hamilton of Hillsboro and Weldon Hamilton of San Marcos; two daughters, Carol Rogers of Houston and Marilyn Schmidt of Cleburne; and 10 grandchildren.
