Odell Jean, 79, of Wheatland died Sept. 7, 2001 at his residence.
Born in Yell County, Ark., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 40 years. He was a longtime dairy farmer in Wheatland. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nadine Jean of Wheatland; a daughter, Gail Hauck of Wheatland; three brothers, Ray Jean of Yuba City, Jimmy Jean of Oroville and Raymond Jean of Colfax; two sisters, Ruby Albright of Live Oak and Janell Fleming of Wheatland; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Clynell Sickles and Wanda Thornburg.

Services: A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holycross Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. James Jean will officiate.
