Marion Thomas Bramlett

1904 - 1951


Marion T. Bramlett, 47, of Rt. 4, Paris, died Friday at 7:45 p.m. in the Sanitarium of Paris. He had been ill there about seven weeks. The funeral, Sunday at 2 p.m., will be held at Atlas Baptist Church, and McDonald Funeral Home of Cooper will make burial in Evergreen Cemetery here. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Ray Walker, Fort Worth, and the Rev. L. A. Stidham, Winnsboro. Pallbearers will be Forrest Coplin, Bill Coplin, Roy Jones, Weldon Blankenship, Forrest Burns and W. H. Smith. 

Marion Thomas Bramlett, son of the late [William] Enoch Bramlett and wife, was born near Atlas, April 23, 1904. He had lived in that vicinity all his life and was a member of the Baptist Church. Besides his mother, Mrs. Sarah [Ellen Sewell] Bramlett of Petty, he leaves his wife, formerly Miss Gertrude Hill of Atlas; a son, Thomas Bramlett, and these brothers and sisters; Earl Bramlett, Ladonia; E. J. Bramlett, Howland; W. H. Bramlett, Mrs. W. R. Jetton and Mrs. L. V. Blankenship, Atlas; Mrs. Betty Taylor, Marathon; Mrs. H. A. O'Daniel, Amarillo; Mrs. A. L. Romine, Borger, and Mrs. Oliver Baer, Petty.
