Margueritte Jean Webster, 96, of New Boston, Texas, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, in an Omaha, Texas, nursing home.
Mrs. Webster was born Sept. 15, 1903, in Magnolia, Ark. She was a retired schoolteacher, member of First United Methodist Church, Arkansas, where she sang in the chancel choir, Arkansas Daughters of the American Revolution, where she was a former regent, Wednesday Music Club and Arkansas Elks Club Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.W. "Bill" Webster.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, W.W. "Bill" and Norma Webster of Monroe, La., and G. Jean and Ruth Webster of New Boston; one half-sister, Mary Bob Burki of Oklahoma City; four grandsons, Jim Webster and John Webster of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Ricky Webster of New Boston and Kin Webster of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one granddaughter, Kay Williams of Monroe; 10 great-grand-children; one great great-grandson; and two nieces.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in East Memorial Gardens. Burial will be under direction of East Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Choir, Texarkana, Ark., or the Tapp Memorial United Methodist Church Choir, New Boston.
