L. R. Jean


March 23, 1906

The death angel visited Arley, Friday night and took from our midst Mr. L. R. JEAN, an aged father. His remains were brought here yesterday. The burial took place in Kemp Cemetery.

June 8, 1906

Died at his home near Arley, the 9th of March 1906, L. R. JEAN. He was born in Heard County, Georgia the 3rd of December 1829. Was married to Mrs. T. A. SLATON the 28th of July 1858. Professed a hope in Christ and in 1859 joined the church. He was a true and faithful member of Addison Lodge No. 463.

Note: Littleton’s son, John J. Jean, is buried next to him in the Kemp Cemetery.

Go north from Arley Town Hall on County Road 41 for 7.2 miles and turn right. Cemetery is behind the church.
