To the Hon. Judge of the Parish Court of Claiborne Parish, State of Louisiana
Your petitioners, Sarah A. Kite, widow of Samuel Kite late deceased, and Amanda L. Kite, Martha Kite, James B. Kite, Louisa Holt wife of Thomas Holt, who herein joins his said wife, Nicholas T. Kite, Ephraim D. Kite, Charles M. Kite, and Georgia Kite, all residents of your said parish; and Samuel E. Kite, John M. Kite and Harriett Thomas wife of John Thomas who herein joins his said wife, and all residents of Webster Parish, State of Louisiana; and Mary Garrison, wife of William Garrison of Texas, who joins his said wife here, would respectfully show that all of your petitioners except the first named are the children and legal representatives and forced heirs of Samuel Kite deceased, that said Samuel Kite has recently died in your said parish, that he has left a last will and testament which hereto annexed and made a part of this petition. That petitioners are desirous to have the same probated and letter of Executorship to issue to Sarah A. Kite in accordance herewith. Deceased left all of his property in your said parish and in the parish of Webster an inventory is necessary to be taken in this and Webster parish wherefore petitioners pray for an order to J. R. Ramsey recorder and exofficio a Notary Public for Claiborne Parish or any other recorder for Claiborne Parish, Louisiana to make an inventory of the property of said deceased in Claiborne and for a similar order to the recorder of Webster and that Samuel Kirkpatrick, A. T. Williams, D. L. Hoyle and James Potts be summonsed as attesting witnesses to said will and that after in a legal process and proof said will be admitted to probate and Mrs. Sarah A. Kite be authorized and commissioned to administer the succession of said decedent as testamentary Executrix in accordance with the terms of said will without bond upon her complying with the law and taking the prescribed oath. Petitioner further pray for all other necessary orders in the premises and for general relief.

By reason of the foregoing petition to probate the Will of Samuel Kite deceased and to have an inventory of the succession of said deceased, it is ordered that a commission issue to Jno. R. Ramsey recorder of Claiborne or to any notary public to take an inventory of the property of the succession of Samuel Kite late deceased and also a commission similar to the recorder of Webster Parish, and it is further ordered, as the parties who are heirs are all petitioners in the suit to probate and represented at this time and the attesting witnesses are present, that this day, the 29th of September 1875 at the Clerk’s Office in Homer, Louisiana at one o’clock be fixed as the time and place for probating said will. Thus done and signed in Chambers officially this the 29th of September 1875.
