Rev. J. J. Pope

Rev. J. J. Pope, widely known Primitive Baptist minister, and one time ordinary of Haralson County, passed away at his home in Tallapoosa Saturday, after an illness of several days.

Rev Pope was widely known and respected, and his passing has caused sorrow among many friends.

He served one term as ordinary of Haralson County and also served various Primitive Baptist churches as pastor.

Funeral services and interment at Salem Church Sunday were attended by many sorrowing relatives and friends.
