HILLSBORO - E. J. "Pete" Perkins, former co-owner of Girault Motors in Itasca, died Thursday at his Hillsboro home. He was 65. Funeral was Friday at Edens Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial was in Itasca Cemetery.
Mr. Perkins was born in Woodbury and was a veteran of World War II. He was a past master of the Covington and Itasca Masonic Lodges. He was a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ. Mr. Perkins had been employed by Girault Motors since 1953 and was co-owner from 1976 until 1985.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Hillsboro Church of Christ building fund.
Survivors: Wife, Maurine Perkins of Hillsboro; son, E. J. Perkins Jr. of Fort Worth; brother, Page Perkins of Irene; and three sisters, Tressie Hilton of Hillsboro, Vernette Hamilton of Itasca and Margie Sisk of Fort Worth.
