Last Will and Testament
Albritton H. Jean
Know all men by these presents that I, Albritton H. Jean, of the county of Yell in the state of Arkansas being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking any other will by me heretofore made.
Item First - It is my will that after death my body shall have a descent Christian burial, and my soul return to God who gave it.
Item Second - I desire that all my just debts shall be paid as soon after my death as may be possible without any administration on my estate.
Item Third - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Elizabeth Jean, all my property, real, personal and mixed, which after paying all just debts as aforesaid, and the sum of one dollar each to my three children named in item fourth. I desire to remain in her hands for the use of herself and our two youngest children, Simeon Alexander and Martha Jane Jean, so long as my said wife shall remain single and shall not abandon said children, but in the event that my said wife, Elizabeth Jean, shall marry and abandon or shall abandon without marriage the above named children, then I desire that all my estate shall revert to my said children, Simeon Alexander and Martha Jane Jean, and in the event of the death of my said wife, I desire that all my said property shall go to my said children, Simeon Alexander and Martha Jane Jean.
Item Fourth - I give and bequeath to my children, Britton Jean, Robert Marion Jean, and Susan Flovilla Jones, wife of William B. Jones, the sum of one dollar each to be paid them as soon after my death as they may apply for it.
In witness whereof I have signed and sealed and published and declared this instrument as my last will and testament at Danville in the county of Yell and state of Arkansas this 29th day of March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and seventy six.
