NOTE: The above two title transfers were the first in a series over the following years involving land transfers from Phillip and Nancy TILLto another person and then from that person to Nancy only. After the death of Anna TILL (age 66) on May 30, 1867, Phillip (age 73) married Nancy (age 49) on September 19, 1868. Reasons for the unusual transfers were never discovered. Normally, transfers between spouses or other family members were made directly and usually for $1.00. Also listed below are land transfers directly to Nancy and not jointly to her and Phillip. This too was unusual during the period since most transfers listed only a male as the Grantee. (The Nancy TILL mentioned here is not the same Nancy TILL excluded from the Mt. Freedom Baptist Church on September 25, 1825.)
