1. The Warner name. Several members of the Price family have Warner as a middle name. The origin and relationship is not know.
3. The Early Ritter Family. Margaret Price's obituary (January, 1947) indicated that her maiden name was Ritter, and the census records indicate that she was born in June 1878, and that she and her parents were all born in Maryland. However, the 1880 census records do not seem to provide support for this. Her father was Lewis Ritter (1847-1901) who was apparently born in Leitersburg, Washington County, MD, but the parents of Lewis' father, also named Lewis (ca. 1818-1873). Also Lewis Ritter (1818-1873) married one Margaret Swails (1820-1910) around 1838, yet no record of a marriage is to be found.
3. The earlier Ambrose family. The parents of William T. Ambrose were Mary (Wilson) Ambrose (c. 1820-1893) and an Ezekiel Ambrose (c. 1818-1879). On the Ambrose side, I cannot trace back further. Census records indicate that all were born in Maryland. Mary Wilson married Ezekiel Ambrose in Baltimore, May 4, 1850. Both are buried in Sater's Baptist Cemetery, now Chestnut Ridge, in Lutherville, Maryland. Ezekiel's father may have been one Robert Ambrose (ca. 1779-1830s), James Ambrose (ca 1780s-1850s) or Charles Ambrose (ca. 1770s-1830s).
