Charles Frederick Payne and Elizabeth Hayward were married February 27, 1834 at the church St. George, Brandon Hill, in Bristol, ENG.
They emmigrated from Bristol, England via the ship "Sir H. Douglas" and arrived in Brooklyn, NY on Aug 15, 1849. They had three children:

2. Mary Ann, was born Dec 3, 1846, in Bristol, England.
3. Charles Frederick Payne II was born June 27, 1851 in Brooklyn, NY.
We lose track of Charles Payne Sr. after 1850. After 1855, Elizabeth Hayward Payne appears remarried to Thomas M. Wentworth.
