A colored boy once joined.
Only two church buildings was mentioned being built.
I know the old one from 1901 to 1927.
Bro Klepper Clerk & Bro Fisher Pastor of Crooked Creek
Church
From old Deeds and lose study of the records in these books. The church was
going before homesteaders had entered claim for land.
An old steam Mill on Bank of Crooked Corner mentioned in the first
church land deed made to the church.

Thank the Lord those interested in Church work at Union. We were happy
when a majority failed to move location 1927. Old building past repairs.
Thankful, we had a part in the 1927 building. Also, WPA and Highway location for
roadways and building additions to the church (1927-1979) and most for the good
pastors.
Nash & Myrtle Dearing
"In Memory, Jane Moore Dearing" Church member 1906-1928.
No history given for the first Wilderness log cabin Wilderness Church in the
book, but am sure that one was near this location. Read the obituaries pages 522
to 586 to give name recorded in Sermon.
What a meeting that will be".
The greatest catastrophe Union Church faced was after the 1961 flood.
Harrison was granted plow, if they obtain a majority vote of all concerned. They
can build a multiple dam for flood protection, water supply and recreation. Union
Church would be buried under water about one hundred feet. They lost by a
few votes, in one election but the location and plan has never been cancelled.
I doubt the vote ever to be held again, which they would cancel the plans.
The dam plan is later cancelled.
