Credential of Baptist Church
This is to certify that by mutual consent and by request of the church at the
head of Barron Creek the fourth Sunday on February 1829 We being the duly
called by the church as a presbytery and after devine examination do ordain
brother Enoch C. Simmons to all the rights and privileges of the
ministerial function agreeable to the Baptist faith and order given under(?) our
hands by order of the church

Election and final percervation of the saints this is to sertify that our
beloved Sister Nancy James is a member in full fellowship with us and is
dismissed from us when joined to any other church of the same faith and order a
signed by order of the Church Saturday before the 2nd Lordes Day in
October 1838
