Proceedings

Saturday before the third Sabbath in April 1844. The church met at Brother Porters and after worship proceeded to business.

1st Invited brethren to their seats.

2nd Invited brethren of sister churches to a seat with us.

3rd Opened a door for the reception of members and received none.

1st Invited Brethren to their seats.

2nd Opened a door for the reception of members and received none.

3rd Resolved the church study til our next meeting whether it will be the best to call on some brothers to take the pastoral care of our church or not.

4th The church brought up a charge against Brother Campbell for advocating the Missionary principles and agree Brother Stroud and Nichols to talk with him and report to our next meeting.

5th The Church charges Brother Brumbelow for advocating the Missionary Principles and agree Brother Gaither and Porter to talk with and report to our next meeting. William P Stroud, Church Clerk

Saturday before the third Sabbath in June 1844. The Church met at Brother Porters and after worship proceeded to business.

1st Invited Brethren of sister churches to a seat with us.

2nd Opened a door for the reception of members and received none.

3rd Called for references and took up the reference of calling on some brother to take the pastoral care of our church and the church chose Brother Stephen Rowland during satisfaction or twelve months.

4th Took up the reference against Brother Ward H Campbell and excluded him.

5th Took up the reference of Brother Brumbelow and referred till our next meeting in course.

6th The church receive a few lines from the Brethren on Hudson Fork of Buffalow for our deacons to attend at Brother Witherspoons on Saturday before the fifth Sabbath in June for purpose of constituting a new church which request was granted.

7th Brother Alvin Parker applys for a letter of dismission which request was granted. William P Stroud, Ch Clerk
