Saturday before the third Sabbath in February 1843.
1st The Crooked Creek Church met at B Gaither and
after worship proceeded to business.
2nd Invited Brethren of Sister Churches to a seat with us.
3rd Opened a door for the reception of members and received none.
4th took up the reference of Sister Smith and granted her a
letter of dismission.
5th Received a report of the committee appointed to the last
meeting to bear a letter to sister Deaton and lift the letter that was
given to Sister Deaton and her husband.
6th Received a letter from Mount Pleasant Church requesting
this church to send her ministerial help and also there deacons to attend at
their meeting on the first Sabbath in May and Saturday before.
7th Granted Brother John Wood and sister Missouri Wood
and Brother Jacob Baughman letters of dismission in full fellowship.

Crooked Creek Church met at Matthew Bristows on the third Saturday
in February 1843.
After service proceeded to appoint a moderator and clerk.
1st Chose Bro Simmons Moderator and Bro Barnett
Clerk Protem.
2nd A door was opened to receive members and received none.
3rd The committee failed to make their report and asked the church
to give them till next meeting which was granted.
The 20th of February 1843
The brethren down at Bro Blythe request the Crooked Creek Church to set them
off to be constituted which was granted.
We then received as follows – William Freeman, Sara Freeman, Mary
Freeman, John Freeman. (I believe this is what these say, it is very dark.)
